I should have picked up the Acer a few days ago!!! It was a lot cheaper.

Perhap, Woot will offer up those testicles on a two for Tuesday?

The reviews I can find on Buzzillions are intriguing. But not necessarily in a good way.

I haven’t been thrilled with the battery life on my dell inspirion. I am assuming they are using similar batteries

Does anyone know how well the facial recognition security works?

Not that bad, I’m thinking of going with a new Vaio from Newegg in the next few months though…

Hmm this should be ok for everything BUT gaming. Not too bad of a price for a studio notebook.

At least its better than an HP, or at least I hope its a little better than an HP.

…and yet a cell is much more complex than this laptop.

1440x900 resolution on a 17"? No thanks; my 15.4" Inspiron 6000 has 1920x1200…

By the abundance of these on Woot, apparently Microsoft’s anti-mac girl was the only one in the world who wanted a 17" laptop.

Anybody know the average battery life on a fully charged one of these? My Dell XPS 1530 as really sucky battery life, and I want to know if they improved that in their Studio series laptops.

My girlfriend just got this laptop for graduation. I can’t say I have been the most impressed by it at all. The battery life seems to go away fairly fast as pointed out by others. It is a good laptop in many ways, but I don’t think I would get this laptop.

not a bad machine, but completely ruined by the grandma style low resolution lcd panel.

what a waste.

Froogled.

Ok, a 17" laptop… wait a second, what are those specs on the front page?

How do you fit a 17" laptop into 15.46"?!? I call shenanigans!

Make sure you go to Dell’s website and download the “Urgent” webcam driver upgrade. Otherwise without proper Window’s updates this unit will blue screen like crazy. Guaranteed.

I don’t see any blu-ray drive on this laptop.

These 9 cell batteries last forever. I work 12 hour shifts at night time for my local fire department, and always have it on to use during down times. I can go all night without recharging. They drain faster if you use the disc drive often. But if you do simple tasks like listening to music or browsing the web, they’re great.
