I’ve had one of these for a long time. It’s a great monitor and held up well. I’d definitely get one for the price if I were in the market.
I did some research and the refresh rate appears to be 60Hz (Dell.com product page), but the specs here say 144Hz. I’m inclined to doubt that claim.
I’ve had this monitor for about 5 years. Great monitor. Zero issues and it’s been on an avg of 6-8 hours a day.
1920x1200 for the win! These are great monitors, I have three of these at home and I’m tempted to get three more for work.
No HDMI Input.
DVI/DVI-D cable is expensive and bulky compared to HDMI.
I am not buying another computer monitor that does not have HDMI input.
Yes, I know I can get an HDMI-to-DVI adapter; Yes, HDMI is DVI-with-Audio.
No, I am not buying another adapter.
Most Computer Graphics cards and on-board Video output provide HDMI only.
Does anyone know if these monitors can be wall mounted?
Un-rustle your jimmies about the HDMI port. If you look at the specs, it has DisplayPort, which is the standard on pretty much all Dell machines and hardware these days. It’s effectively the same thing as HDMI, just without the licensing encumbrance. Just get yourself an active adapter to allow for sound pass-through and you’ll be good to go.
If you remove the stand it has standard 100mm x 100mm VESA mount points available.
Is it glossy? I hate looking at a black section of screen and you get reflections.
This is a 60hz refresh not 144hz.
Please correct the description.
Side note: This is an awesome 16:10 ratio monitor. 1920x1200 is much more pleasant to look at than a 1920x1080.

Stock seems to go up and down, and will probably disappear occasionally throughout the day, but I was able to snag 2 this morning.
lol. i thought this was a pretty good deal until they changed it from 144 to 60hz.
thank god i didn’t buy it.
this is a very nice monitor, but i bet there are similarly good or better monitors for sale that are new from amazon/newegg. the unique resolution is a selling point for this monitor i suppose.
Specs have been updated.
Err, no. Most computer graphics cards offer DVI and/or Display Port, plus HDMI for TV output. HDMI is not a computer display standard. It’s what companies add to a display so that it can double for TV output. Display Port is the current standard for video cards. The new AMD RX 480 reference model, which just dropped about two weeks ago, uses Display Port as its standard and has 3 ports for multi-monitor support, with an extra HDMI connector for TVs.
This monitor supports Display Port(along with DVI and VGA). And it has no speakers, making HDMI less useful.
I have a U2410 and I loved it. If I am correct the U2412 is a newer model.
Not sure if the last two digits denotes the year of the model. If so, mine would be a 2010 model and this one woot! is selling would be a 2012 model.
Pretty much. The 2015 model is a U2415.
The display is matte, to answer another question. I’ve never had any glare problems with it.
There’s are professional grade monitors. The only downside is we are now moving into a 4K world.
I believe you are correct. This is 2012 model. Nice monitor.
