It is a lie to call this a dehumidifier!!! It is stretching the truth to call it an air-conditioner! it does not have a condensate pump. So,east of the Mississippi river in the summer, the pan fills up and it shuts off! After you rig a condensate removal system, either a drain or a pump, it will cool but constantly drags in outside air witch keeps the humidity at nearly ambient!
This AC unit is ok, but not great. It struggles to cool rooms between 500-700sqft, but below 500sqft it works great. I haven’t had the same issues as Dylistn, with 80%+ humidity days I have yet to get any water in my pan and I’m not sure where the unit might be pulling air in from since it is getting air from the room that it’s in. I will say that this units exhaust is much hotter than my GE portable AC unit that doesn’t even have a fan for it’s exhaust and the De’Longhe unit does.
