I am a fan of your cartoony style, so I might not be the best person to ask. I get the feeling cartoons, unless they are obviously funny, or relate to a popular meme, or support some funny/ironic/nerdy text are not going to do as well on woot. Ultimately it’s about doing what you like though, not pandering to the woot masses. I’d love to see you try something more ‘artsy’, cause I think you could pull it off and james could use the competition.
About this design specifically, I dunno. Something seems a bit off about the concept but I can’t put my finger on it. The execution is good (like always).
I kind of expected that…I don’t exactly recall the punnish entry from a couple derbies ago that also got axed, but they’ve definitely shown little sympathy for those that are a play on the derby title instead of on topic.

absolutely awesome! I must admit i’m disappointed in the lack of historical takes on it and things like this. what happened to the heiroglyph graffiti idea? This kicks ass and i voted and will buy!
