Good theme I guess. The debates will probably come in on how famous so and so quote actually is, should it be allowed if most people have never heard of it etc.

Well, now I’m interested to see what we’ll come up with. For the past derbies in this vein we seemed to get 1/2 abstract interpretations and 1/2 loathsomely strained puns. I hope the former is more prevalent this round.

I feel like were in for a deluge of literally interpreted visual puns rather than designs which use their chosen quote as a kind of vague organizing theme.

i really want to use quotes from “everything but woot”'s “random quotes thread”, but i guess they wouldn’t be famous.

plus many are not pg-13.

No movie quotes??? Blah!!! I’ll have to think really hard for this one and I really don’t feel like doing that this week, haven’t had enough sleep to use my brain properly.

As long as anyone doesn’t do “That’s. What. She. Said.” (which I think would be a challenge to do effectively, anyway), I’m going to be thrilled. We could have some thought-provoking entries this round. At least, I’m hoping so.

Ooh, I know where I want to get my quotations, but I expect I wouldn’t be the only one. I’ll see if I have time and motivation to work on something tonight…

Yes, as long as you can find it on a keyboard or in the writing system of another language. Which probably would knock out virtually all math symbols known to man.
