Yes, the wording is purposefully backward, as LDV wrote most of his notes in “mirror writing”. See here, for example.

I’m thrown off because my brain is automatically flipping the mirrored letters but they are laid out to read left to right.
Not a criticism. Just an observation from this right brained / left handed wooter.
