Devastating experience

Long story short*. I made an account awhile ago. I love the site. I bought as recently as oct 2025 with same card and info. The other morning there was an MSI Desktop sale to go along with a 22% off birthday coupon. I found the perfect pc for me and was super excited. The order “processed” but didn’t. I asked 5 llms about what might be up. I tried to contact customer support of woot, didn’t know different options gave me different capability. Selected an option that only allowed me to email. Emailed customer support. Llms told me it’s ok, my unit it reserved, it will process during shipping. I contacted my bank because there was no transaction and they said there were no requests. Later in the night found a monitor on woot, bought it, but during checkout it made me update some information (my phone number). Get same “processing” so I think its ok. Wake up early to use the bathroom and check email, see my transaction is DECLINED. Choose different customer support option from woot and learn there is a phone number. I call woot, my bank, and amazon pay and each denies being the one to decline. Amazon pay rep tells me my woot account information was different than my bank account information (I got a new phone number for the first time in over a decade right after I signed up on woot) An hour or two after my monitor transaction clears. I am blessed and have much to be thankful for but this experience is so frustrating and disappointing and I’m being told there is nothing that can be done. Ugh

Hello. We use Amazon Pay for payment authorization and payment processing. We don’t have any insight to the process.

Amazon Pay will try for 24 hours to get an authorization approval from a bank. If that fails, the order payment is denied.

Nobody seems to have any insight, unfortunately. There is no reason the transaction shouldn’t have worked but regardless, if the customer service experience wasn’t so poor maybe I could have had as better outcome. I could have searched harder for a support number but only learned it existed after exploring customer support options unrelated to my problem that magically revealed a support phone number. So frustrating.

Hello. Amazon Pay is a closed-box system meaning we can’t do anything with it. For data security, the only thing our system does is send a payment request and then receives back a yes or no. Woot customer service can’t do anything to approve a payment or hurry the process.

I do see your order was canceled per your request on the CS phone call a few hours after the payment was finally authorized.

Please refer to https:x.com/TheDustyCrevice/status/2081033281911287854. My order for a monitor that I would have loved be using right now on my new pc (oh wait) is the order that was canceled. I don’t need a 57 inch monitor that ships in what was described in one review as a box “the size of a coffin” just sitting around without a new pc to power it. I would have loved to process and receive the monitor. especially after seeing the promotion price raised in the middle of the sale which is disappointing in the case I were to find a pc alternative to power it and rebuy it in hindsight.

What I think happened is woot just won’t admit that the item I purchased likely was sold out very quickly and I imagine was actually out of stock so my order was unable to be fulfilled and ended up being cancelled. Of course I understand that woot cant “magically” make the process approved. That being said, this is literally the first time I have had an issue with my card. Payment processing isn’t very complicated. This is what leads me to believe it was an inventory issue.

I’m still upset and thoroughly disappointed still, nearly a week later.
