Where are these manufactured and can the default measurement unit be set to Fahrenheit?
I own one of these you hit the 2 top buttons and it switches to Fahrenheit
We had the batteries listed as 2xAAA batteries (not included). The correct battery is 1x9V (included).
Sorry about that but hey, free battery!
OMG, free battery??? Holy shit!!! I want 10!
Damn it!!! I can only get 3 free batteries
But you get 3X9V batteries, so it’s kinda like getting 27V of free battery!!!
When you switch to Fahrenheit does it stay at that setting or do you have to change it every time you turn it on?
I bet with few slight modifications this puppy will measure speed of a moving vehicle, do a quick inventory check, and will let you name your price for car insurance.
Is this actually a general purpose thermometer, or is it software limited to human temperature ranges?
Only if they’re connected in series
It seems to be limited on temperature range for anything except reading your temperature.
Temperature Range is 90 to 109°F (32 to 43°C)
I assume it’s a limited range, but more accurate within that range.
For most any other application, I’d get a different one.
Device’s FDA device listing.
The reviews say
It defaults on power on to “c”
U have to change it every time to “f”
I’ve used a few of this type of thermometer and the default is C when but when you change it to F it stays on F until the battery is removed.
Is this a contactless thermometer or does it need to touch to read the temp?
