Love it. The people who hear me do it? Probably not so much.

As a matter of fact, Damien (my cat) either really likes to hear me sing, or he thinks I’m dying. Every time I am belting out

he has to come sit in for my performance. Either that or he just wants to make sure I’m ok. I’m going with the former. I don’t care what the neighborhood says in their cease and desist letter. :stuck_out_tongue:

I did it a couple times while knowing I cannot really hold a note. Why subject others and myself to this pain? I think friends were involved couple times…maybe a girl once. Maybe God was involved with that one with the girl… if I could have sung better, her attention spanned would have last longer…instead she had her proverbial “squirrel” moment (aka onto the next guy who caught her attention), and we were on separate paths. I was saved some difficulty and heartache.

I only had the chance at the nearest college bar, but I was never picked. This was in Portugal though, so only one song was in English Metallica - Nothing Else Matters don’t ask me why this specific song, I’m as clueless as you. I could sing in Portuguese, but I mostly like English singing bands.

I abhor karaoke. I cooked at a bowling alley once where they had it 3 nights a week in the bar, and I had to work for every single night of it. They had a semi regular that would sing (badly) White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane in operatic style. First time I heard it I started laughing and ran into the cooler so she wouldn’t hear. A bartender and a server soon entered as well. In my estimation, 95% of people that sing karaoke can’t carry a tune at all. 4% can, but aren’t really good singers, and 1% is fantastic. And when they’re intoxicated, it’s absolutely horrible
