I seem to remember dime bags, too, which were literally bags with dimes in them. If I remember right, people paid more for the dimes than the dimes were worth.

BOCs started out where some of the stuff was good (I got a robosapien) but also mixed with what appeared to be the contents of someone’s wastebasket. Then there was a period of a few years where BOCs were junky, like cheap dollar store stuff. Now it’s come back around to good stuff; maybe not stuff you use, but somebody might.
And, p.s., I’m back from some of the original Wooters.
And I still miss the purple.

Woot-off shipping has improved noticeably, imho. An item I ordered from this Wednesday’s Woot-off was delivered today. That’s pretty amazing. My BOCs also tend to arrive 2-3 days quicker than in the past.
