Don't Blink

I suddenly feel old and dumb…I don’t get the reference. :frowning:

Doctor Who monster created by Steven Moffat. Hands down the scariest new Who monster. The episode “Blink” is a must see even if you aren’t a Whovian.

Embed isn’t working for me but here:

Someday I’ll have to watch an episode of this show.

I don’t know which is scarier - the reference to the weeping angels or the reference to the Netscape Blink tag.

Start with that episode. It’s on Netflix. If that doesn’t get you hooked, nothing will. Then go back to the first season from 2005.

You don’t have to know what’s going on to understand this one.

Whenever we have a friend who isn’t familiar with Doctor Who express interest in the show, we tell them to watch Blink. It’s fantastic, and the 10th Doctor is my favorite. <3

It’s available to watch on Netflix, for those who are interested. I believe it’s listed as Season 3, Episode 10.

My 8 yo was a Weeping Angel last Halloween. Best. Costume. Ever.

Thanks, shirtwoot! I’m Christmas shopping today! YAY!

Oh, and an “Old Lady” wig from the Halloween store, along with some angel wings & a can of gray spray paint makes short work of the costume!

That’s what I thought too. And then I did. I’m the right age, right demo, etc but alas…

Funny thing is, I didn’t get the Dr. Who reference until I did some research. I thought it was meant to be a personification of the Blue Screen of Death. Or maybe it’s a mashup between the two. Whether intentional or not, very well done.

There is still a first season in 2005. And it’s the one I’m going to recommend. Much higher production quality and better acting - could never get into the old series.

They are pretty scary but so is the Silence…

Oh yes, just ordered this shirt for my 9 year old. This is what he wants to be Halloween! The search has begun for the materials to make him into a Weeping Angel. Hmmmm I wonder how I’ll be able to stitch, glue feathers and spray paint with my eyes closed?

Your kid is awesome

“That which holds the image of an angel, becomes itself an angel.”

I’ve doomed us all!

I’m a new Whovian, only just caught up with the new seasons. I totally voted for this and as I have entirely too many t shirts and none of them fit because I’m in that awful post partum period where everything is too big or too small, I’ll just have to buy this for me son instead.

I just made an order for 3, but had trouble selecting multiple sizes. I sent an email, but wondered if anyone else had that issue…

Order each one separately. For example, Hit the order button for the first size, then do it again for the second size, and a third time for the 3rd size. They will all appear in your cart. Then go into your cart and finish the order.

What really scared me about this shirt is that I’ve been re-watching the current incarnation of the series, and I had Blink queued up when I checked woot! It must have been fate.

Congrats to first place, although I feel like a lot of the entries missed opportunity to actually be saying something with the text;I know easier said then done with designing something that both looks good and says something but that’s the challenge! None the less, nice shirt.

i think it was just statistically very likely.
