A 5/8 inch hose is a common size for residential garden hoses. Slotted between 1/2 and 3/4 inch hoses, they’re for general use around the house/yard. With the benefits being lightweight and easily maneuverable.
The “5/8 inch” refers to the inner diameter of the hose.
