If only it were the 90s

yes it does work with cd’s but it also has aux input for ipods and such. so it is modern, im guessing you are only associating it with the 90s because it uses cd’s? but thats what makes it versatile, cds+aux input, everything you would need.

CDJs are very popular in nightclubs. The Pioneer CDJ-900 or CDJ-2000 being the most popular. Those models also allow the use of mp3s on memory sticks and have waveform displays among other neat features. They cost $1400 & $1700 each respectively and you need 2.

This thing could probably get the job done at a fraction of the cost. They’re probably a little more cumbersome and lack a lot of other features. Also a touring club dj would have the Pioneer CDJs in their rider.

But this would be fine for beginners, house parties, cheap wedding DJs and hole in the wall restaurant dance clubs. It also cuts out the need for a DJ mixer.

P.S. For some reason the description says 2 band EQ when you can make out from the image that it has a 3 band EQ. (I double checked on the Gemini site as well.)

P.P.S. (Strangely the Gemini site says it has a USB input when all their photos of it clearly show that it does not.)

I guess the “limit 3” is scaring everyone off.

Is the woot off dead if NOBODY buys this piece of junk?

I don’t get it. Woot is owned by Amazon… Amazon has the same product but cheaper (okay, S&H is higher): http://www.amazon.com/Gemini-DJ-CDM-Multi-Player/dp/B007A98QH8/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_t

$209 on Amazon. Not a good deal.

While I have always fantasized about being a DJ, I wouldn’t have the slightest clue how to use this.

Free shipping on Amazon.

Isn’t that funny? And Woot is owned by Amazon. What a joke. And still no “first sucker”? That can’t be right.

Yikes! 1 sold and still 100% left!?!?!

I guess it is time for a nap.

In that case… I should buy one just to get it off the woot off. I’m so on the edge and about to pull the trigger. I mean, I’m only paying $14 more than I could buy it for from their parent site. Man… if only I could get something else to go with it to push me over the edge. Maybe they can stop over and punch me in the face. Or send an RMA with it (I mean it is Gemini after all).
