Oddly, the 1 thing Duck DOES NOT want you to use this tape for is to do masking before painting. They sell a PAINTER’S tape for that. This should really be labelled “Paper Crafting, Labeling and Decorative Tape” It has very strong adhesion, and while it is mostly true it won’t leave a “residue” when removed, you may find it nearly impossible to remove from many surfaces. If you apply to paint less than a week old, plan on touching up where it pulls off the paint. And the Amazon reviews are worthless - as usual, they contain reviews for every kind of Duck “Masking” (and some or “Crafting”) Tape, and since the reviewers seldom mention ** their ** product, you can’t make much sense of what they are saying (examples: comments as to white, blue, black, pieces of tape left behind…).
