Interdimensional tentacle beast
If it’s been more than 24-48 hours you should get that checked by a medical professional. I’m not sure which kind, but I hear they do referrals.
What did it taste like?

Backstory on this cuban anole. We evacuated up to my Dad’s home for Hurricane Helene and apparently this big dude did too on our luggage rack. Ever since then we’ve found him in my Dad’s garage near the luggage rack or outside on my car. This past Tuesday, he apparently made the 1 hr 15 min ride back down to our home holding on for dear life under the hood and on the windshield wiper. He was somewhat stunned and I just grabbed him and put him in our front garden bed back in his original home. Dude had a helluva ride!
Cool!
How are the repairs coming along?

Close to getting the permit submitted. ![]()
Awesome! I’m sure it’s been an ordeal but I’m so glad it’s getting closer to being done.
Yessir. 25/25. Old as all get out, but try not to be too dull.
Could probably come up with some older stuff than that.
I only got 23; never used MySpace and I took tape decks out and put CD/MP3 players IN my vehicles.
Exactly!
Long long ago I used to take the CD player out of the car because, back in the day, they were less installed and more of a “temporary” encumbrance. But when I read the question I was actually thinking more of those faceplates we used to remove. I had a caseload of music cassettes stolen out of a car once.
Mind you, I think 6 out of the 25 apply to the last twelve months. But I suppose you have to be old to know how.
That makes sense; the days of the 3.5mm to cassette adapter and that hooked up to a portable CD player. My mind never even went there when I read that one. I do remember when there were the fully removable car stereos. A sleeve was wired up and installed and the unit itself was removable with a fold down handle. I think the removable faceplates are still a thing and of course there are the transformer ones that slide down the front to reveal more or the kind that has a screen that hides away on power off. A better option would have been something about CD players with anti-skip. Or even something that would require this lost knowledge and the corresponding selector on decent tape decks:
There are four main types of audio cassette tapes: Type I (ferric), Type II (chrome), Type III (ferrichrome), and Type IV (metal). Type II tapes, known for their higher audio quality due to the addition of chromium dioxide, are commonly used for music recordings, while Type IV metal tapes offer even better quality but are less common and more expensive.
I love finding old stuff like Marantz, Denon and Yamaha in auctions and no one bids except me.
