Dusk to Dawn LED A19 LED Bulb, 6-Pack

Dusk to Dawn LED A19 LED Bulb, 6-Pack

Never used one with a built-in sensor (except for those old photocell add-on sockets decades ago.). If a bulb like this is in an enclosed glass globe or fixture, how can it work? If it’s dark, the light would turn on… good!. But then the light from the bulb would reflect off of the fixture into the sensor, and it would think “oh, it’s day time now, I’ll turn off.” And then it would. Go back to step one. This used to result in “automatic” lights flashing on and off.

Wondering if the designed have solved this or if it might have the same problem (not really a problem with the light, it’s just doing what the light tells it to.). I remember people using black electrical tape or plastic tube to make a portal so the light would only see the “outside” and not the reflected light. But sounds like a lot of trouble when there are now better ways to do this same thing.
