There’s a fan in the base that blows air up to the ring, where it’s dispersed. They aren’t as awesomely magic as they appear

the ‘fan’ is in the bottom. the air just comes out of the fancy lookin ducting up top.
I’m thinking of it as Art…that it produces wind is a side-benefit!
