I got a DC16 a couple years ago, and would rate it as “meh”. Battery life is disappointing, and suction seems to be on a par with other handhelds. Anyone know how this newer model compares?
Full power barely last 5 minutes. Suction is not any better.
Color me a fanboy. The battery life is relatively short, but this is a handheld.
I think the suction is superior to most other handhelds I’ve owned in the past. I think I’ll be picking up a 2nd at this price.
This handheld is great. The suction is top notch and is designed for those places the dyson uprights can’t reach. For example, stairwells and vehicle interiors. The battery last just long enough at full power to get a quick job done. Anyone know where I can get a replacement charging cable? The dog chewed it up. The dog is gone but I still have my dyson.
I just picked up a refurb DC44 and I wonder why an aluminum tube and beater brush head cost $100 more. I feel cheated.
Dyson’s really do suck (Pun intended.) I have two dyson upright vacuums at my place love them both. Been wanting to try a cordless for small areas/car
I LOVE this handheld. I mounted the charger on the wall so I just put it in there for a few hours after I’m done using it. It’s great for getting up messes, and I use it every time there’s a bug in the house. Pulls June bugs or bees right out of the air! I’d get 3 more for gifts at this price if the IRS didn’t just get all my money. Hopefully this comes back up next month, I’ll be in for 3!
PS I used to leave it on the charger and the battery didn’t last. I bought a new battery off the net for pretty cheap (15 or 20 bucks, can’t remember) and it’s worked great ever since. Runs at least 10 minutes on a charge. Never run dry before I finished cleaning out the car or whatever.
This was one of those rare Woots that I was really disappointed with. The battery life barely lasts a few minutes. The suction is decent, but you won’t get to use it for very long before it needs to be recharged.
