I bought a refurbished older model of this which is exactly the same except for the color and model number and maybe some attachments. Best vacuum I have ever used. More suction than my upright vacuum and super portable. Only complaints are the 20 minute battery life though generally that is long enough, and emptying it can get annoying because things can get caught up around the sides which are difficult to reach with my fingers. Overall, it’s perfect for my one bedroom apt. The other vacuum is collecting dust which I use this to vacuum.

Woot, what’s up with this? Last week you had (and I bought) the refurb DC59 for $229. This model is an upgrade to the DC59 and is $30 cheaper??? That deal sucks, Woot…I guess no one, even my old friend Woot, can be trusted anymore.

Thats because you got a reurbished refurb. You should have requested a first generation refurb. BUT- gets worse…imagine the schlep that ends up getting your refurbished refurbed refurb, when you send yours back. They NEVER thrown anything away.

Refurbished products are usually packaged in plain brown box packages. The colorful boxes are for new in store for advertising to consumers.

Try using a pencil to clean out the bin. Works great for me and no dirty fingers!!
