Well, I see today is White Elephant Day at Woot. All the junk across all categories they couldn’t get rid of the first six times they tried is re-bundled into a celebratory “woot-off”. Woo hoo! Move along, folks; there’s nothing to see here.

Wow. A factory reconditioned item from Dyson . . .

Maximum run time at full power is 8 minutes with a new fully charged battery. YMMV with a refurb.

I simply would not buy a rechargeable item without removable batteries. Someone needs to design an exchangeable connection system so manufacturers like this can let customers use regularly available power tool batteries like Milwaukee, Ryobi, Porter-cable, Dewalt, etc. Notice how its hard to find one of those tools to buy that doesn’t come with TWO batteries, because 8 minutes is never enough (I use Ryobi, and I currently have 4 batteries). Your $179 tool will be worthless in a year when the battery dies and you can’t replace it. That’s after the last 3 months of the battery only lasting 4 minutes instead of 8. No removeable battery = no sale for me. Ever.

Interchangeable batteries would be a great idea for the consumer, but having batteries not interchange is something manufacturers do to enhance brand loyalty. Non-removable batteries are just stupid though.

I wonder if we have reached refurbished Dyson saturation.
Is today the day that everyone who wants a refurbished Dyson cordless stick vacuum already has a refurbished Dyson cordless stick vacuum?

Apparently not. We will probably also see the ball Dyson on here as well.

Anyone know the warranty on the refurbished model?

6 month Dyson. Warranty info is always listed at the very bottom of the Features tab.

I love the thing. It’s got a 20 minute run…shorter time on the “max” feature but even with all the pets, it cleans fine on regular. No need to lug the big ball Dyson around anymore…great for tile and wood floors
