Answer, it supports dual pairing, BUT that is the headphones can be paired with 2 devices, like their transmitter and a phone, which is cool.
So to use 2 headsets it looks like I need 2 transmitters, but it does have optical pass thru so that is possible.
Based on the Amazon reviews the PS4 functionality is pretty bad, especially chat, not an issue for me.
I purchased this item & was well pleased with with it when I opened box. It works flawlessly with PS4 . I even paired with an IPhone just for fun & was surprised by the superb voice/audio quality. Well worth buying if you are in the market for this type of gear!
