Does anyone know if these would provide sufficient hearing protection for shooting?
@ NRR 16dBs it is unlikely. My shooting muffs are NRR 33dBs for indoor shooting (the highest you can get I think). Minimum recommendation for indoor shooting is usually 28dBs. I think these would be more appropriate as a supplement to muffs for shooting or for concerts, noisy offices, or motorcycles.
These are designed for loud concerts and other places where you want to hear what’s going on (with high fidelity) but you just want to hear a bit less of it. Musicians and concert-goers in my family love these for concerts - they are a big upgrade from the foam models. Someone in my house stole my pair so I’m in for 2 more pairs!
Do these wear out or need to be replaced over time?
