You get what you pay for when it comes to radar detectors. Needs more Valentine 1.

Mounting the Roomba in your car may give you better radar protection.

"These are made by BG Tech, the same company that makes Cobra and Radio Shack detectors:

Here’s what Roy had to say about them:
RadarRoy wrote:
BGTECH, who is now based out of China, makes the detectors for Cobra and Radio Shack.

From experience, very cheaply made with low range, filtering and sensitivity."

This says it detects all radar, but then in the list, doesnt mention POP alert. Can it detect POP?

#8

hmm, i dont think i need another radar detector :l… or do i?

These are LEGAL in MOST states… concerned? You shouldnt be, but nevertheless, check the following link:

Spotted a review…

#11

Any chance of offering Top Spot Detectors later in the week? I could really use something that always pointed the way to a Taco Bell … especially if it was the closest one.

That’s not a review. That’s a marketing pump up job.

Are you that desperate to get a speeding ticket that, despite the fact that you appear to know something about radar detectors, you’re considering buying this POS?

If you want a radar detector, buy an Escort, any Beltronics Vector, or Valentine 1.

#14

i wouldn’t get this, i have a cobra, it’s my third one and has never really let me down.

#15

Yeah, you want to get one good enough so you don’t get a ticket, but at the same time, you don’t want to spend more than a speeding ticket would have cost you. :stuck_out_tongue:

I hate finding balance.

#16

Isn’t it just easier to stop speeding?

Then Woot would stop selling these things.

#17

5 miles an hour on a 10 hour trip = 50 miles, does that mean you’ll get there almost an hour earlier?

#18

try 10 mph on a 900 mile ride from Atlanta to NY, makes a huge difference

#19

Or, instead, you could get into an accident because you’re too worried about cops trying to catch you and end up dying in a horrific 10 car pileup.

Oops. God, quit speeding, if you’re that desperate to get there that quickly, then take a plane.

#20

i’d say you aint the target audience. but doesnt seem like anyone else is either with under 50 sold.
a. if you fear getting into accident so much, don’t get in the car.
b. you don’t have to speed and or brake laws by owning a radar detector. it really is possible to have it on and drive under speed limit. (this is not a rocket engine)
c. speed limit vary from place to place and not because of road safety. in one state a divided highway can be 55 mph in another state same one can be 70 mph. physical road with a limit of 70 mph is not any safer than the one with lower limit, and vice versa.
