They are great…if you’re grass isn’t real tall, there are no sticks or stone to get caught in the blades, the blades are sharp, and your yard isn’t huge. Great I say!

I have a Scott’s brand and use it most of the time. Sometimes the lawn gets too long and I have to use the gas mower. Google: sharpen reel mower. It’s cheap and easy.
Pros/Cons: It’s definitely extra work but I consider it exercise. It’s not as perfectly cut but close enough for me. It’s not as silent as I expected but way quieter than a gas mower. During a zombie apocalypse, I can still mow and save precious gas.
Has anyone tried attaching several of these to a metal frame and towing it behind their lawn tractor? If so how did it work out? Did you have to go too slow?
I wonder if you could take the blades off and attach is to a large fan motor and pull it behind a tractor? What a new idea!
