How does this differ from the other 120W Acacia brand panel that is $20 cheaper and also here on Woot?

Uh… anyone around? Anyone able to answer my question from 10+ hours ago?

I’m around but I don’t know anything about solar panels. You’ll probably have to dig into the specs yourself. Sorry.

Don’t take my word for it, but I think they are the same. There are 4 listings on the mothership, sold and ship from, that look to be the same at multiple moneys. I would just buy the $100 listing that also happens to have the most reviews.

Yeah, they look the same to me too. With that said, the compatibility of a solar panel is more contingent with the power station or charge controller rather than the panel itself.

  1. Solar input connector. Some use a barrel jack, some use Anderson connector, some use XT60. Whatever panel you get has to either have the same connector or could be adapted to it.
  2. Voltage range of input. Look up the specs. The panel’s peak voltage cannot exceed the maximum voltage allowed by the unit.
  3. Maximum wattage. If your unit can only take in 100 watts, you don’t want to put a 200w panel on it.
  4. Maximum amperage. For example, one of my units can do 200 watts, but it’s also limited to 10 amps. If the panel outputs more than 10 amps at its peak, do not risk it.
  5. Brand doesn’t matter. As long as the specs are within range, it will work.

(Note that I am not staff. I just volunteer to help out on the forums.)
