What is the difference between this disc shaped echo dot and the ball shaped one?
Personally, I think they’re both about the same. Some people swear the speakers are better in the hockey puck one.

Feel like these things used to be way cheaper at least one discounted. I feel like they used to basically give away these things. I guess maybe now that echo isn’t making as much money as they expected with digital purchases they’re not being as generous with discounts on hardware
When I got one of these exact models in red for 15 or 20 bucks from the mothership on prime day one year.
Disc shaped has better responsive mic. Ball shaped has better sound.
I was thinking the same thing. Ive got several of these (style)- mostly from Woot, and they were all fairly cheap. Prices have gone up.
