I bought two of these from the mothership for more than twice the price. They are very sturdy and can easily hold the weight of a 250-lb adult. The only downside is that they’re so sturdy children can’t adjust the height by themselves, you need about 50 lbs of weight on it to make an adjustment. The bottom is rubberized, so it won’t scratch hardwood floors.
At this price, it’s worth giving one a try. It works well for a child who can’t sit still, as well as for an adult who wants to strengthen their core muscles while sitting. However, it isn’t very comfortable for adult, the seat has no padding or cushion. Children don’t seem to mind, but I need to add a round cushion (about $5 from Ikea) if I plan to sit for longer than half an hour.
Woobly grey stools? Yeah you should see a doctor about that.
