In the 400 replacement filters are $50 for the carbon pre- and $70 for the HEPA, manual says replace yearly and has advise for vacuum:clean/water soak every 3 month to clean. Free shipping from website when I put both in my cart, and current 25% off spring cleaning sale.

I am comparing this to my Costco purchased allergy pro, which worked fine initially but recommends filter changes q3 month and are 34.99 a pop+ $10 for S & H (which is a total scam considering you didn’t get a break on S & H if you bought multiple replacements at once, and you couldn’t get knock off aftermarket replacements) Consumer’s rated a predecessor to these guys as middle of the road, mostly took off points for noise at high settings and poor cleaning at low setting (despite excellent at high)

What site?

Edit: Nevermind, Electrolux’s site.

You can probably buy sheets of carbon filter and cut to size for the pre-filter. Of course, it won’t be treated with Cleancel®, but it will be a fraction of the price.

And there are plenty of places that make compatible carbon and HEPA filters at a discount; at least I’ve been able to find them for every other air cleaner I’ve had.
