This is assembled in the USA. About as close as your going to get if you are avoiding the Made in China tag.

I own the LCD 40 inch and it is a good t.v., have a 26 inch I believe it is LED for my son and haven’t had any issues. The 40 inch I have owned for a little over 3 years now without any problems. The 26 inch I got on sale during black Friday.

Why would I buy a refurb? Walmart has them new for $30 more.
