Trash holding is an expensive game apparently

My husband might not care for this purchase but if it’s really a 13gallon 50 liter trash can it’s a good deal :woman_shrugging:

The reviews though. Even some of the 5 star ones are actually 1 star. I can’t put myself through another shitty motion sensor.

Especially if it’s a battery hog like some say. I really like rechargeable ones.

I can’t figure out what size batteries it uses from information and reviews …..

One Amazon reviewer wrote that it takes 4 AA batteries.

Sad it doesn’t have the optional DC power adapter like the iTouchless one they had on sale last year.

I have this exact can without the wheels. Got it during a woot event (what’s behind the doors maybe?). Some observations… It does take 4 AA batteries which do get used up fast. After our second battery change we decided just to leave the door open at all times. You can also manually open and close the top rolltop door. Not too much of a problem unless someone in the house is really lazy.

Also it doesn’t show in the video that you can also remove the inner top rim which we figured out is the best thing since the bags tend to snag & rip on it when you change the bag if you don’t. If you pull off that 3rd piece the bag slides right out. I’ll add a couple of pics to explain better. Hope it helps.

Oh yeah, we are very happy with it & I would get another if we needed it. That’s a great sale price.

I mean, $30 for a 13 gallon stainless steel trash can is already a good price. And has the extra perks of wheels plus touchless sensor. Still pretty worth it even if the sensor is a dud.

Hi, how fast are we talking about? Like 4-6 months or even lower than that?

I just checked my orders & I bought it on Apr 25, 2024 so almost a year ago. We went through 2 sets of batteries. I think they lasted only a few months each set because we haven’t been using it with batteries for several months now. It’s not broken, we just felt it wasn’t worth the expense to keep replacing batteries.

We were using Energizer industrial batteries bought from Woot also. I never tried rechargeables. I guess it really depends how often you use the sensor feature.

Edit: Box was inside the office when I got to work today (Monday). Looks like Amazon driver got lucky.

Interesting… got notification of mine being delivered yesterday (Sunday). I have stuff delivered to my workplace, and that building is LOCKED on Sundays… I really hope the delivery person happened to catch somebody going in or out of the building, because leaving a package outside of a business unattended is ridiculous.
