"The good: Inexpensive; ample room for future upgrades.
The bad: Slow CPU; wimpy hard-drive capacity and memory combined with 32-bit Windows"
And that’s based on their listed $325 price and doesn’t factor in the Win7 upgrade.
Given the $100 discount seems like a solid deal.
How would this be for a gaming computer?
Emachines - don’t think this has all the bells & whistles I’m looking for.
Not bad for a second or third computer. Definitely a good one for the kids or someone who just browses the Net.
And isn’t the OS eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 7?

Would this qualify for the Windows 7 upgrade? Does that even count on a refurb?
How would this be for a gaming computer?
Well it depends on if you like playing games from the 90’s
i was definitely praying for a monitor to come up with HDMI
How would this be for a gaming computer?
It would be great for solitaire or minesweeper.
How will the gaming be on this?
I’m going to have to agree…
Well it depends on if you like playing games from the 90’s
It would probably be awesome for Oregon Trail!

A great machine to buy and scab the good parts out of it, for those of you with slightly older, less stable computers.

at least with dell, the win 7 “free upgrade” still requires shipping and handling costs.
