I should write a book about the things Iāve found while piano shopping.

- Hoarders like this guy
- the āantiqueā pianos that must be valuable because theyāre old
- pianos that someone obviously sprayed down with a garden hose just before the picture were taken
- crack house piano guy
- murder scene piano
- the piano where the guy didnāt realize his reflection could be seen in the high gloss which revealed he was just wearing his slacksā¦ in the middle of a piano store
- the pianos that ājust needs to be tunedā but in reality require tens of thousands in restoration costs
- and my favorite, the international āfree pianoā scheme
That deserves at least a blog.

I think at some point, a couple years ago, I shared a photo from a house listing of a little clown setting at a piano in one of those little rooms across from a balcony, that has no access aside from using a ladderā¦ There was a little door to that āroomā that might access the attic. It was creepy all around, the shotgun on the wall at the edge of the picture told me all I needed to know.
