I had one of the earlier Emerson Portable Ice makers (IM93) I believe…worked good. Was very noisy. If you didn’t change water often, you would notice mold growing inside. I used filtered water and changed the water weekly so that I didn’t have that much of a problem. The main problem I had was the water pump noise which resulted in it not making ice 6 months after I bought it. It was a simple repair, if you are the tinkering type person. But sadly, the ice maker died after 3 years use…still good for the cost in my eyes. I now have an igloo brand ice maker that is much smaller (hate it) and actually is much noisier (hate it). Bought about 1 month before Woot had this deal come out. Sigh…I really would like to have gotten this one instead.
