If anyone wants to buy yesterday’s shirt, here’s the link to do so:
Sure, on their own the 2 shirts are OK, but together, the whole is worth more than the sum of their parts. However, good luck finding someone else to wear the other shirt with you. Methinks con a spouse/spouse-friend?
It’s a shame. Cause there were several decent designs in this derby. Unfortunately none made it to the top three. Instead, we get two cotton ball shirts. Lame.
There you go, disco. $2 to you! Thanks for the shirts. My plan is to wear both, then take the outer one off for an hour then put it back on for an hour. I want to see how many people notice.
I have to agree, while I bought yesterday’s puffaluff, I am a bit shocked they devoted two days to two puffs. I really would have expected a two-fer day, or a decision to revert to the fourth place option.
No offense, disco, it is a great concept and design, but I do think the two wins in a row is a little overkill. It’s obviously not your fault, but I find it odd that Woot would have gone for it.
I don’t see any reason to limit the number of designs per designer, but I do imagine woot will be less lenient on similar designs in the future (seperate shirt colours, themes, etc). But to be fair, I can’t think of a better pair of designs to cause such a limitation…
There were a lot of good designs in the last derby and personally I think it’s unfortunate two similar shirts won. Of course both shirts still might sell really well, but woot has never been about making as much money as possible.
as to limiting users to one entry or derby win per derby… I dont see the point… it all comes down to the majority of people liking the design and then buying it… i bet the shirt, like every other derby winner, sells out… which means 502 (the shirt got 498 votes) other people, who didnt even vote for the shirt liked the design too…
