Espressione Cafe Charme Cappuccino Maker

See that metal tray on top with the circular cut-outs? That’s the cup warmer. The heat from the boiler warms that tray, where you can, if so inclined, place inverted demi-tasse cups.

That area really doesn’t get warm. Like at all. I mentioned in a previous comment, but the heating element is really nowhere near that area. Also, those are not cutouts; they are bumps. It is also quite slanted, and that is just a thin piece of metal over top of more plastic too. The black area in front of it gets hotter, but since the controls are there and it is more of a dome, it is not a good spot for a cup. But thanks for the suggestion.

i got a response on this, and it sounds like we’ll probably revise that copy.

i guess (haven’t seen it IRL myself) there’s a heating element, but if the boiler is not on, it’s not really “active,” if that makes sense.

anyway, we’re just going to update that info for clarity.

thanks for helping us make it right, countdown!

It arrived with a wire inside that was damaged and disconnected (the pump was not working). But it was easy to fix and required nothing more than a long screwdriver to get the top off.

Mine arrived with a broken pump as well but I can’t seem to get the top to come off. Is there a sweet spot I’m missing?

hmm. don’t wanna manhandle (womanhandle?) it too much. might want to contact the manufacturer if it gets tricky (rather than risk breakage, mayhaps).
