In for 1, I love anything I can crank by hand =)

How good is the range and reception on this thing?

How long does 2 minutes of cranking last?

Found one 5 star review on Buzzillions.

Good item to add to a hurricane kit

that’s definitely what she said.

“…just 2 minutes of cranking”

Shouldn’t be a problem for most guys.

NOOOOO! I just clicked “I want one” for the Prestigo remote…now it’s this…thing…boo

Pros:

* Lot’s of “Apocalypse” ready features
* Easy to use and navigate
* Attractive and polished design aesthetic

Cons:

* Internal battery is DOA for the most part
* Cranking for power takes much longer than expected
* No POS cell phone adapters

yeesh. an additional $85 for a license for channels 1-7 and 15-22.

sorry. i know the zombies will attack soon, but i gotta pass.

+1

In for one, gonna put it in my sister’s “zombie survival kit” for the winter holiday (Chriskwanzaukahstice) exchange of goods. This will so be a necessity when the zombies attack-now if only woot would put up water purification tablets and really nice hatchets.

Seems very cool, even for 50 bucks, but living in the city I personally can’t imagine ever needing it. For those that live in remote areas, or go on long backpacking expeditions, I can see this being well worth the money.

Says the battery pack can be recharged with 2 minutes of cranking…how long does the battery pack last?

Here in SW Ohio we are celebrating the 1 year ago passing of Hurricane Ike. Many without power for weeks. This WooT was much needed.
