Everything's 12 Volts

Somehow, I have a feeling this compressor is suspiciously similar to Harbor Freight’s model, which can be got for $5 with coupons in local papers. http://www.harborfreight.com/12-volt-250-psi-compact-air-compressor-4077.html

I’ve used solar-powered vents similar to the AutoKool in the past; while they don’t move a lot of air, I did find that they did work well in keeping the inside of the car a lot closer to the outside ambient temperature. I used two, one on each side of the car, as it would be parked in the lot at work for 8-10 hours - with attention to car location, using two ensured that I did get air circulation. This was during Texas summers, not far from Austin.

I found the site for the Solar Trickle Charger,
http://koolatrononline.stores.yahoo.net/12v-solar-charger.html

The instruction guide says nothing but there is email and a phone number. I might try calling them.

OK, I called them. It’s a new product. I was told that it should be 1.8 watts.

Has anyone else had a problem with the Koolatron 402326 Compressor??

I bought one and it died the first time I tried to inflate a car tire.

The unit was extremely hot to the touch.

It looks like the compressor came with a 90 Day Koolatron warranty. I’d recommend reaching out to them for some assistance. Keep us posted on how things go.
