They are cast iron, with a baked-on enamel(glass melted on the cast iron) coating. If you’re looking for a tiny, light casserole, keep lookin’.
But, kept properly, your grandkids can use them.

I’m going to get my wife 3 for holiday dinners. She uses Pyrex and they’re older.
