Saw the Nintendo Switch for sale with the extra 20$ off so I figured it was a good deal and took the plunge.
It showed shipping would be about a week or so which I accepted as “meh ok”. This would mean it would’ve arrived this past Wednesday.
Nope.
It’s expected NEXT Wednesday. 8-31-2022.
I don’t get why Woot takes THAT much longer (unless you buy a shirt in which case its expedited shipping upgraded for free). Even Amazon would’ve had it to me by now (and give option to cancel up until it’s actually shipped out).
This makes NO sense.
I ordered and paid on the 20th. Today is the 27th. It gives no option to cancel (which I’m more than tired of waiting and would just say to heck with the 20$ discount and buy it local to have it in-hand immediately).
Ugh I just want it now as I was SO looking forward to playing it this weekend!
I just don’t get why it is taking THIS LONG to ship out.
Hi there. Sorry for the delay. If you don’t see it ship by Tuesday, reach out to Woot! Customer Service. To speed things up, let them know if you prefer a return/refund or a replacement (if possible).
It finally shipped 8/30/2022. Today is 8/31/2022 and shipping tracker for UPS doesn’t show expected date. Email for shipped confirmation says “3-8 business days”.
I just do NOT see why ordering on the 20th and it didn’t ship for 10 DAYS was even allowed/possible as it was in stock and was standard shipping AND no cancelation option outside that meager 2-hour window.
Nowhere waits 10 days to ship something in stock with standard shipping enabled.
Edit to add: i reached out to customer service and got a reply back…
“Thank you for reaching out to us. I do see that you have contacted us from an email that is not associated with the account where the order was placed.”
I’m signed in with my Amazon. Both use SAME email. I replied back from same email. It’s all one email so i don’t get where that’s coming from, either!

In case you haven’t noticed, this is not a perfect world and sometimes orders go out a little slower than expected. Woot doesn’t do this just to piss you off; they don’t like not fulfilling their obligations on time. In other words, stuff happens…
Whine? Not hardly. I’m new to woot and was telling the issues I myself have experienced.
I’m not expecting “perfect” as I know things happen - but this was to be a birthday present that will now not arrive on time.
If it was a 25$ something or another - meh whatever. But it was 300$.
And, when I tried to contact customer service I was told something about different email - yet it’s not.
Soooo - sorry if describing MY first woot experience triggered you to require use of your safe place. I was trying to determine if this was normal for woot or an exception.
