Of the MANY improvements/updates I’ve done to this huge historic-registry home, this motion-sensing faucet is one of the best/most-fun/most-useful I’v done. The hand-wave feature is nice, but the ability just to grab the head to pull it down, even a bit, to turn it on, is fantastic. It’s amusing to tell a visitor to get some water, only to see him/her be confused over what’s happening. Hugely recommended. Unless you have a cat, who will figure out that just approaching the faucet will turn it on, so the faucet becomes a neat toy for the cat…
Agreed 100% - totally awesome faucet. My plumber was also impressed with the ease of installation. This design is so much better than the touch faucets. Battery powered instead of an AC adapter, motion instead of touch, pull down handle turning it on… I only have one complaint. Mine has developed a dribble. Not terrible but after about 9 months it occasionally drops a spot of water right under the handle. The warranty will cover replacement but I’m not sure I want to pay for my plumber to come back to install another one. I may end up doing the replacement myself. It doesn’t appear to be a cartridge/valve that can be replaced either.
SO - not sure how it’s worked for everyone else – BUT other than that this its totally awesome.
Bought one for the old house then moved shortly after, great purchase, snagging another one for sure.
I have a Delta faucet very similar to this. The motion sensing is great when you’ve got your hands full or you’re a mess from preparing food. It’s probably the favorite thing in my kitchen and when I bought the faucet I didn’t even realize it had motion sensing.
So, this looks like the “BioBidet FLOW” on Amazon for $169. 4.5/5 stars with 256 reviews. This looks like a good deal.
I think you’re right. I ordered one this past Saturday when it was $127 on a lightning deal. Received yesterday and will hopefully install this weekend.
Hoping it holds up for a few years.
I don’t plan to buy one of these because I can’t bring myself to spend that much on a faucet (why are faucets SO expensive?) but I did have a question that future @mtn3pitt would want to know. It’s also a question I thought I would never have to ask about a faucet for my home…
How’s the battery life on these things? I’m assuming those of you who have this or something similar have it in your kitchen and use it daily. Are we talking months? Quarters? Semi-Annual? Annual? Bi-Annual? I don’t know how long because I have never had to change the batteries and we’ve had this thing for xx amount of years?
I’d hate to have to crawl under the sink frequently just to change the batteries on my faucet…
Tempted. “Drip free” actually is my reservation. In winter, I actually need my kitchen faucet to drip when it’s below freezing, or else the line freezes. I’d like to find a faucet with a drip setting. It’s currently kind of a pain to get my faucet to drip when I need it to.
I just got mine last night. I installed it pretty fast. I had more trouble pulling out my old faucet. This one installed a lot easier than my previous faucet. I’m getting use to the hands free option.
So far so good but I have only had it for less than 10 hours.
Received it a couple weeks and just installed it this morning. Installation was easy, works greater than expected. I am very pleased with this product.
