I have a FoodSaver (different model) and it is a great asset. One way to save money is to purchase aftermarket sealer rolls than the FoodSaver name brand. I recently bought two 11"x50’ (100’ total) generic brand rolls off Amazon for not much more than the price of one FoodSaver brand 11"x16’ roll. The quality is just as good.
I think sealer bags and rolls are sort of like printer ink cartridges. They sell you the initial product for a reasonable price and then they make their real money off you when you buy their brand of ink to keep it running.
If you sign up for the foodsealer emails, they occasionally have bogo roll sales… I have also bought other brand rolls and they’ve worked fine - but I stock up on the foodsaver ones when they are about equal in price
We do our best to get the best available warranties for the products we sell, but often one condition of a heavily discounted deal is that it does not include a standard manufacturers warranty.

I wish someone would do an experiment and vacuum seal something with a FoodSaver and also the same type food in a Ziplock bag and compare the results after a month or two. I guarantee you that you’ll see a major difference. Vacuum sealed foods last 2-3x longer than Ziplock.
It will keep stuff free from freezer burn for a very long time. You’d be surprised how much money you save by not having to throw out food that has gone bad. I do a lot of barbecuing. I can package and seal brisket or pulled pork, and then reheat it in the bag by submerging it in boiling water for a few minutes. Tastes as good as the day I cooked it. For busy people, this thing is great.
