I believe I actually had a previous vintage of this at the Petite Sirah Symposium back in 2009. I liked it quite a bit, and Clark Smith was also very complimentary about the quality of that wine, from what my notes tell me. Definitely one I remember trying and liking.

I thought of Clark when I saw the Red Hills Lake County appellation. He made a Diamond Ridge PS from the same AVA.
