A couple of people gave it negative reviews because the modem they chose to go along was difficult to configure, another because night vision at 640 was not great.

I like the fact I can mount it on a standard outlet like that for a lamp not worrying about running an unsightly cable.

In for one. If it works out will get another two in the future.

Hey Team-Woot: Your “Features” list includes “H.264 video compression” yet the specs list shows only MJPEG compression. The Manufacturer’s webpage for the camera lists only MJPEG both in the Features and Specs. I think you have a typo here!

It’s a hunk of crap that arrived dead.

WOOT did nothing to replace it and had to have the bank recall my money.

Ummm … I really wish people would stop using the term “high-definition” when it is not. 640 x 480 Pixels is - by no stretch of the imagination - high-def in any way.


That being said, if this was about $50 cheaper, it would be worth it.

Most of us are regulars here and have had very good experiences with WOOT customer service. I suspect your comment. Will you provide details of what you did, who you talked to, what was their response? Also, the only way a “bank” can “recall” your money is of you paid by credit card. Do you have a record of that dispute in case WOOT people wish to follow up? Looking forward to hearing your details and I am sure there is someone from WOOT monitoring this thread who would like that info also…
