Wow, them’s a lot of speakers! I’ve saw these on clearance at OneCall for $110 - $120 recently, so figure that $500 would be a great deal…and then you’ve gotta pay shipping. $5 to ship all of these speakers is a great deal.

WOOT-LAX™ - Feeling a bit bound up? Take a load off and relax while getting an awesome deal. (3 out of 4 doctors recommend WOOT over metamucil)

Ok. Time for one of those spectacular woot’s that bog the server down. Let’s see that 61" HDTV for $50

Um… great woot… great price… but too rich for my blood (read: Wife would KILL me  )

Fosgate Audionics 5.0 Home Theater Speaker Set
Eat at Joe D’Appolito’s
$429.99 + $5 Shipping and Handling

Experience thick, rich, delicious quintophonic sound with this five-piece speaker bundle we’ve thrown together. You’ll get a trio of Fosgate Audionics’ FA62.0 speakers and a pair of their FA52.0 speakers. That’s a lot of speaker! Bear in mind that we’ll ship this woot in three boxes, with a total shipping weight of 142 pounds. It’s something to think about if you have your woots delivered to your office.

Of Fosgate Audionics’ FA62.0, they say it’s “quite possibly the ultimate satellite speaker.” They ain’t just whistling “Dixie” through their one-inch soft dome tweeters. The sucker knows no peer in power handling, dynamic range, or low distortion reproduction. It sports dual 6.5-inch mid/woofers in a “D’Appolito” alignment, as well as an intricate 24dB/octave (red Rover, red Rover) Linkwitz-Riley crossover. A “dual purpose monitor,” the FA62.0 swings both ways: it can be used for center channel applications or as an LCR (left/center/right) for the ultimate home theatre experience. Truly, it is a speaker to be feared and respected. How you like dem D’Appolitos?

Meanwhile, the Fosgate Audionics FA52.0 is a dual 5.25-inch mid/woofer, one-inch tweeter configuration, also in the classic “D’Appolito” alignment first engineered in 1972 by Frankie “D’Apper Dan” D’Appolito in Queens, New York. (OK, probably not.)

Another dual-purpose monitor, the versatile FA52.0 is equally at ease doing center channel duty or as an LCR (left, center, right) stage monitor. With more information directed to the center channel, or “dialogue” speaker, power handling requirements can, as our grandmother once said of our indoor ninjitsu training sessions, get to be a bit much. There’s no such problem with Fosgate Audionics. The FA52.0 uses the same driver components as its baby brother, but more of ‘em, so it gives you souped-up power handling and what audio nerds call “higher acoustical output.” Back home, we had a regional idiom for it: bitchin’ sound.

Hey, these here noiseboxes are the real deal. They even garnered good reviews at manufacturer’s suggested retail pricing levels. (For those of you who failed math, the MSRP on this bundle would run you a big $2,145. Like something you’d read on the bottom of a sweetened ice tea bottle cap, it’s amazing but true.)

You might want to add a subwoofer to this setup for fuller bass. Anyone with a subwoofer vendor to recommend should spam the message board—er, we mean mention it in our community.
