The biggest joke is their support.

Regular turn around time for support E-mails is two weeks, but somehow support on Twitter responds within hours. However, their support on Twitter isn’t very good because they told me I wouldn’t get charged for data overages once I turned off the secret “auto-buy more data when you’re at 3/5 of your limit” setting but about two months later they did exactly that when I accidentally went over the limit.

I also had a strange problem where my voice would get garbled like static and they swore up and down it was because I had hit my data limit for the month (even if I used the phone on wifi). Turns out they had to fix something wrong on my account but they wouldn’t even look into that until it was still doing it on the next billing cycle.

Saw the Nexus 5 a few weeks ago, anyway to still get that phone for $150 or whatever it was? Didn’t have the cash then but now I do.

Use Google Voice/Hangouts apps instead of the FreedomPop app, like I do. Hangouts probably has better call quality anyway.
