I want one that’s human sized
Will this hold a 240 pound mastiff?
My dog chewed through his in less than a day. I had assumed they would use a more dog resistant material for the mat, but that is not the case.
He did enjoyt laying on it while it lasted.
Why would you want an elevated dog bed? I could see one that’s as tall as, say, my bed but the concept is lost on me.
If you have dogs that spend some time outside, you want to give them an option that keeps them off the ground and away from most bugs, water, dirt, etc. My dogs have elevated beds outside and beds on the floor inside.
Exactly - my dog LOVES her Coolaroo, and I’m considering getting one of these as a backup, for when that one wears out. Keep her cooler, off the hot ground (and cleaner), and also away from spiders and ants when laying outside. We’ve had her current one for two years and it’s going strong…she hasn’t chewed it at all, just a lot of sticks and bones have been chewed while laying on it!
Never anything in size 6 month old 100lbs+ Great Dane.
I wonder how these compare to the Coolaroo beds, in terms of construction and sturdiness.
According to Amazon reviews, it barely holds a poodle.
I bought her the biggest bed on Amazon, but my miniature Shar-Pei took it over immediately. She plays for keeps and the baby Dane knows it. I’m ordering another. We’ll see.
Easy to clean under. Not a hard surface kind of like an air bed. Our dog loves this bed even though we need to replace it every 6 months or so.
We have a Great Dane about 115-120 lbs. She breaks pretty much every bed except a giant pillow bed. She much prefers elevated beds. This will be the 4th time replacing this bed. Due to her weight and moving around eventually rips it from the edges. She still really likes the bed so we will keep replacing it every 6-9 months.
We’re expecting ours to be 160+. She punched in at almost 100lbs on her 5 month birthday last week. We’ve got an old ottoman she likes pretty good. I’m not buying her a new bed every 6 months. That’s absurd. I’ll build her something like I did with her 17qt food and water dishes.
To make my dog comfortable, silly!
I’ll add that normal cushions get too hot so this may help him stay cool.
I just received this and there are parts missing. WTF?
