How do you clean the straw portion if you have to suck it for liquid to pass through? I guess at $4 a two pack you can just buy a dozen and throw them out when they get gross, but that largely defeats the purpose of the stainless steel aspect

Usually a soak works well for me, sometimes I throw them in the dishwasher. I will admit I don’t know if it makes them perfectly clean, but it seems to work?
