If that is what you are looking for, yes. If you’re one who doesn’t have enough sense to not train for a marathon, it has built in heart rate, workout syncing and GPS to track distance more reliably than phone apps and most other “pedometer watches”.
I’ve used this watch for 1.5 years. I like it so much, I immediately bought a replacement when I cracked the watch face (completely my fault); that taught me to get a screen protector right away. My only complaint is that Garmin makes terrible watch bands- they always fall apart after a year. As long as you remember to sync the watch with the phone app pretty regularly, the watch picks up the GPS signal quickly and is way more accurate than phone apps.
