This is how the broiler pan was delivered to me:

The outer shrink wrap was actually fine and there were no noticeable scratches, dents, or dings. But that greatly surprised me.

Just FYI, @wootbot, shipping this item without even a padded envelope seems like a good way to generate returns. Since it is packaged by the manufacturer without even basic cardboard protection, it doesn’t seem very wise to ship it without a box.

Sorry. This was

We don’t get a say in how they ship stuff. :frowning:

That’s okay. Mine arrived in good shape! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Maybe it depends on the source and destination. I got mine the next day so presumably from my local FC. Maybe since it wasn’t going warehouse-to-truck-to-plane-to-truck-to-etc. they didn’t think it needed protected :man_shrugging:

I knew that FBA decides how to ship but I thought Woot had connections to inform them when they are doing it wrong lol

And here I thought Amazon couldn’t get worse in their packaging algorithms, yet we have a new packaging low!

Then Woot would never stop speaking to Amazon.

A couple years ago I finally found how to report shipping issues. They kept shipping a Chip mug (from Beauty & the Beast) in poly bags. The mug had no protective cardboard of its own. So ceramic mug straight in a bag. I was told that there was no data showing that a box would lessen damage. I died a little that day.

Well, I mean, if an elephant stood on it, that’s probably true. Or the drop-kick delivery guy :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I was living in an apartment and the building had mailboxes lined up in one horizontal row and directly under them was basically a trough where we could put outgoing mail. It was about 5" high with a 2½" opening all along the top. I had ordered these Amazon Fresh potato chips, not by themselves but that how they ended up being shipped. In a poly bag, by itself. Most of my orders got placed at my door down the steps from the mailboxes. This one, the driver decided to shove the bag into the outgoing mail trough. :frowning_face_with_open_mouth::angry:

I reported it and thought about just asking for a refund but I was irritated so thought “nope. You guys are gonna ship me a whole new bag of $1.79 potato chips and put em in a box this time!” I generally have a lot of respect for the delivery drivers but I did really hope that one got in trouble :smiling_face_with_horns:
