Bought this stuff one of the last times it was up. It’s ok. Kinda bland. But still a good deal.
Bought one of each last time these came through. Wife loves them.
I Pulled the trigger again. I must like 'em.
I bought these canned from BJs and they’re really great, but I don’t want to get the pouches and have them be dry.
Anyone know the mercury content of these, especially the albacore one?
Got these the last time. I take them for my lunch. Delicious, and a pretty reasonable price. Recommend.
Bought twice. No dry ones so far.
So convienent. Easy to take anywhere, add to anything.
That may be true, but you probably want a better source than Newsmax.
I don’t think tuna in olive oil is likely to dry out
29.99 on Amazon for yellow fin
[Mod: that’s yellow fin only. Ours is a split pack with 12 yellow fin and 12 albacore.]
Obviously you didn’t click the link and read the article. Your knee jerk reaction to doubt the source indicates a closed mind. The article provides results from a study by ConsumersLab.com. Please provide a source that in anyway contradicts the Newsmax report. Genova was one of the better rated brands for low contamination and high omega 3.
My understanding is albacore has about 3x the mercury content of “chunk light” tuna.
I found the albacore ones at dollar tree.
It’s a fair criticism about a better source. he said “you may be right”, after all. just to add: Another commonly eaten fish, albacore (“white”) tuna has more mercury than canned light tuna. So, when choosing your two meals of fish and shellfish, you may eat up to 6 ounces (one average meal) of albacore tuna per week.
FYI 12 tin packages from CostCo $20 for 80oz. This is 64oz in flat packets for $34. You make the call. These are the same price as target Starkist tuna.
FYI tins do take up more space, and not everyone has Costco.
OK,
Getting close to last call on this one.
